Leo Schreiber has been working for an insurance company for 19 years. He is never sick, always reliable and absolutely inconspicuous. He lives so withdrawn that hardly anyone notices him. Leo's life is quiet, but he is often very lonely. One day that changes when he meets his colleague Marie Johanson, who is also very withdrawn, in the elevator. Marie can't get out of his head anymore. He falls in love with the young woman, and she too feels increasingly more than just sympathy for Leo. As their love becomes public, colleagues increasingly focus on the couple and inadvertently get drawn into their rivalries and intrigues, which also affects their relationship.
