Stefan Kornatz (* 1968 in Bochum - Wattenscheid ) is a German film director and screenwriter .

Life

Kornatz grew up in and around Hamburg . After training in financial administration, he studied sociology from 1990 to 1995 at the University of Hamburg and at the University of Economics and Politics .

During his studies he worked as a projectionist at the Hamburg arthouse cinema Abaton , attended the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg and assisted the Berliner Ensemble under the direction of Peter Zadek .
