At a business dinner in the evening, he meets the prostitute Huong, who he likes. Back in Germany, his wife Maren, who had been suffering from cancer for eight years, told him that she had bone metastases and needed expensive special treatment. Back in Vietnam to sign the contract, he looks for Huong's company to take him back to their home village. The two fall in love and Huong keeps asking questions about marriage, which Thomas bypasses.

Back in Germany he receives a call from Huong: She has followed him. Thomas puts Huong in an apartment and spends his free time with her while Maren is receiving medical treatment. One day, on an outing, the two of them run into Thomas' adult son Daniel. There is a pending conflict between the two and Thomas races off with Huong. Drunk with love, he announces to his partner Lars Behlke that he will sell his stake in the company and marry Huong. In the meantime, Daniel has found Huong's whereabouts through Vietnamese living in Cologne. He looks for her and wants to take her to the airport so that she can return to Vietnam and disappear from her life. Resetting of his car from the farm estate on the road the car is powered by a pickup truck rammed on the passenger side. Huong is fatally injured in the accident. criticism

“Psychologically sophisticated drama and bittersweet love story about a husband and father at a crossroads, sensitively staged by Torsten C. Fischer. Behrendt's sensitive game is convincing "
