Dang Ngoc Long (* 1957 ) is a Vietnamese composer , concert guitarist and actor . He completed a master's degree at the "Hanns Eisler" University of Music in Berlin . Since 2004 he has been the director of the Berlin-Gesundbrunnen music school and the artistic director of the International Guitar Competition & Festival Berlin .

biography

From 1985 to 1990 he completed his studies at the “ Hanns Eisler ” University of Music in Berlin with Inge Wilczok, from which he graduated with a diploma as a concert guitarist. From 1990 to 1991 he received a scholarship to study concerts. From 1991 to 1993 he received a scholarship to study concert masters. He took part in master classes with Abel Calevaro, Martin Myslivecek, Monika Rost and Álvaro Pierri .

Dang Ngoc Long received a special prize at the international guitar competitions in Hungary in 1987 . In addition to appearances in his home country Vietnam and Germany, he also gave concerts in Hungary, the former Czechoslovakia, Italy, Spain, France, etc. He also produced many cassettes, CDs, (especially debut albums "Long plays Long"), radio and TV recordings in Vietnam, Germany and other countries. Since 1991 he has been working as a teacher at the music schools in Berlin-Marzahn and Bernau . In 1994 he initiated the "Guitar Competition for Guitar Solo" in Bernau for the first time. In 2001 Dang Ngoc Long became the initiator of the project and the artistic director of the international guitar festival in Bernau. In 2009 he was awarded the title of Honorary Professor at the International University of Kyrgyzstan. Since 2004 he has been director of the Berlin-Gesundbrunnen music school. Since 2006 Dang Ngoc Long has been the artistic director of the international Guitar Competition & Festival Berlin .

He has composed many works for guitar solo, duo, trio and quartet: "Tay Nguyen Mountains", "Memory", "Prelude No. 1 ”,“ Mienman ”,“ The duck green is floating in the water, the clouds are moving in the sky - Vietnamese folk song ”,“ Fantasy in G major ”,“ Cycle ”. Many pieces were selected as compulsory pieces for the international guitar competition: “Prelude No. 1 "," Mienman "," For Thay "," Bamboo-Ber "," Gian ma thương "," Prelude No.4 "," The duck green is floating in the water, the clouds are moving in the sky "," Memory "," Ru con ”,“ Rain ”“ The Central Highlands of Tay Nguyen ”(Tay nguyen Mountains).

He has been in acting coaching with Kristiane Kupfer (Special Coaching Actors Studio) since 2012 . He worked in various film productions (under the name "Long Dang-Ngoc").
