Alone Among Neighbors is a German television film from 2012. The comedy is the third sequel to the television film Alone Among Daughters from 2007. The television premiere of the film was on October 9, 2012 on Sat.1 and had 3.12 million viewers.

Ex- Bundeswehr soldier Harald Westphal moves with his second wife, their child, his two younger daughters from their first marriage, his son-in-law and his granddaughter into a larger apartment in Berlin-Neukölln . Problems quickly arise with the multicultural neighborhood, especially with the Turkish-born fruit dealer Yussuf. Repeated racist incidents, including an arson attack and an assault on his daughter Flo, arouse Harald's suspicion. While Flo, to Harald's displeasure, befriends the neighbor boy Mustafa and Harald is being courted by his old acquaintance and landlady Renate, he finds evidence of a planned bomb attack. At the last minute he was able to identify Renate's son Dirk as the mastermind behind the incidents and, together with Yussuf, prevent an explosive device from exploding at a street festival.

“Once again, Oliver Schmitz ('Meat', 'Beloved Life') staged this fourth 'Alone Among ...' film (after '... daughters',' ... students', '.. . Mothers'), which was again conceived by screenwriter Carolin Hecht. The result is not always believable, but quite funny. However, here and there signs of wear and tear slowly spread, because the viewer looks in vain for any new ideas. Incidentally, in the same year director Schmitz shot the unsuccessful anti- war film ' Willkommen im Krieg ' with his main actor Hannes Jaenicke . "
