Alfred Weber Institute for Economics

The Alfred Weber Institute for Economics (AWI) is a teaching and research facility at the University of Heidelberg , which is named after the German economist and sociologist Alfred Weber . There is close cooperation with the neighboring institutes of the Heidelberg Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences. The institute is also involved in the Department of Development Economics together with the South Asia Institute in Heidelberg .

Christina Gathmann is the managing director.

For research purposes, the institute maintains the AWI experimental laboratory and the Research Center for Environmental Economics (FZU).

A bachelor's degree "B.Sc. Economics (Political Economics)" and a master's degree "M.Sc. Economics" are offered

As part of the ERASMUS program, there are partnerships with eleven universities in nine countries, such as the University of Copenhagen or the Warsaw School of Economics .
