Peter Krause (cameraman, 1961)

Peter Joachim Krause (born August 20, 1961 in Hanover ) is a German cameraman .

Life

Peter Joachim Krause grew up in Hamburg. After studying art and music, he moved to Los Angeles , where he lived and worked as a camera assistant for several years. He assisted Karl Walter Lindenlaub in the films Universal Soldier , Stargate , Independence Day and Godzilla, each directed by Roland Emmerich . Since his return to Germany at the end of the 1990s, he has shown himself to be responsible for television films such as The Best Piece and The Hunt for the Amber Room and films such as Asphaltflicker , Sonnenallee and Erkan & Stefan in The Death Comes Krass as a cameraman.

Krause is a member of the German Film Academy .
