Erkan & Stefan: The Death Comes Krass is a German comedy directed by Michael Karen from 2005.

action

Erkan and Stefan win a cruise in the “Die der dicke Hund-Show”, hosted by Hardy Flanders, because the producer Kathrin sabotaged the show buzzers so much that the previously undefeated champion Alex loses the show. Above all, Stefan hopes to tear open a “couple of bunnies”, as he puts it, during the cruise, which he believes is going to the warm south, and waives the alternative price in the form of a check for 100,000 euros. However, the dream ship vacation on the luxury ship TS Albatros with presenter Hardy Flanders goes to the Arctic Ocean instead of the warm South Seas, and there are only pensioners on board (apart from the duo “Los Lipglos”). After a mysterious murder of the star presenter Flanders, Erkan and Stefan suddenly stand there with his corpse. Although they do everything to get rid of the corpse, it always turns up in the most inopportune situations. In addition, Erkan and Stefan are blackmailed by the ex-champion Alex after he heard how Erkan said to Stefan: "Hardy Flanders is dead!" The two should admit on the open stage in front of the passengers that they sabotaged the result of the show and that Alex is the real winner of the show. In addition, they have to deal with a suspicious officer ("Haakan"), the passengers ("Mutti and Dad") and the murderer herself and get from one funny situation to the next. So drives z. B. the corpse of Hardy Flanders "walk" in a linen trolley, but none of the passengers noticed.

Reviews

The film received an extremely poor response from both audiences and critics. According to Moviepilot , the critics gave the film an average of only 2.1 out of 10 possible points, while the film is rated 4.2 out of 10 points on IMDb .

“The result is bullshit without a level that can hardly attract a few smirkers. In short: superfluous scrap. "

"The film, based on a script by the vain, but untalented comedy stars, can neither be stimulated by the overwhelmed direction nor by the chargeable actors, so that it ends up in the bottom comedy drawer."

Others

  • The TS Albatros ship actually exists, it is a cruise ship that was used for the film. Some rooms and scenes (e.g. the slapstick situation in which Hardy Flanders' corpse is being hunted down four elevators) was shot in a studio. Exterior shots and a few rooms were filmed on the ship. The recordings were actually shot on a sea voyage.
  • A doll was used for Hardy Flanders' corpse, but most of the time Ludger Pistor played the dead man himself.
  • The gag in the film that nobody - apart from the main characters Erkan & Stefan - notices that Hardy Flanders is dead for a long time is very reminiscent of the plot in the US comedy Always Trouble with Bernie from 1989.
  • Some of the ship scenes were filmed in Germany at an exhibition center, while others were shot in other (European) countries.
  • Zoya Douchine , German runner-up in figure skating in 2000 , can be seen in a supporting role as a show bunny.
  • His previous destinations are written on Erkan's suitcase; one of them is nirvana .
  • For the film, Erkan and Stefan sang the hit of the British singer Captain Sensible Wot together with Trooper Da Don .
  • Florian Simbeck, the actor in "Stefan", co-financed this third "Erkan and Stefan" film. Since only a few moviegoers wanted to see this film, Simbeck could no longer serve the banks, which is why he had to file for personal bankruptcy in 2010.
