Stefan Essl

Stefan Essl (* 1971 in Munich ) is a German film editor .

Life

Stefan Essl first learned to be a car mechanic. From the end of the 1990s he worked as an assistant editor, and from 2001 as an independent editor. In 2011 he was awarded the German Camera Prize (Best Editing - Feature Film Category) for the film Jerry Cotton . He is also the drummer for the band Beathotel , which contributed the song Tat twam asi to the soundtrack of men's hearts .

Since 2016 Stefan Essl has also been a member of the board of the Bundesverband Filmschnitt Editor eV (BFS) .
