Ludger Pistor (born March 16, 1959 in Recklinghausen ) is a German actor .

life and career

Ludger Pistor studied at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna and then for two years at the Herbert Berghof Studio in New York City . He had his first engagements at the theater in Munich . The first television appearances followed in the 1980s, including as an assistant in Schimanski - Tatorte .

For his role as Klaus Krapp in the television series Balko , Pistor received the Adolf Grimme Prize in 1996 (together with Jochen Horst and Dieter Pfaff ) and the German Television Prize in 1999 . A running gag of his role were frequent dialogues with his mother, who was never seen. This running gag was taken up in several of his later film roles, such as in Golden Times .

In the 21st James Bond film Casino Royale (2006), Pistor can be seen as the Swiss private banker Mr. Mendel. Because his role in the television film Ein Schnitzel was more important to him and the filming of both films overlapped, Pistor initially turned down Quentin Tarantino's first role offer for Inglourious Basterds , but then received the less time-consuming supporting role of Captain Wolfgang. In 2011, Pistor played the supporting role of a pig farmer and former Nazi in the Hollywood film X-Men: First Decision .
