Chocolate for the Boss is a German TV film by Manfred Stelzer from 2008.

action

The head of a multinational food company and eighth richest person in Germany, Ernst Schmitt, reluctantly transfers the management of the company to his nephew Marc after a heart operation under pressure from his sister Waltraut. As one of his first official acts, he decides to close the headquarters of the group due to a lack of profitability, which increases Ernst's distrust of him. Ernst Schmitt then decides to intervene with the help of his chauffeur Hubert Ollerbeck: He is hired under a false name as a driver for the managing director Stefan Gräber in his company. He claims to his family that he is taking a cure. In this way he learns that Gräber is deliberately damaging the company in order to earn commission from the sale of the company's property. Thereupon Schmitt has to give up his cover in order to uncover this intrigue and save the company. With his help, a big job can be saved because he knows the people he has to talk to for it. But the recipe for the chocolate specialty ordered has disappeared, that is, it has been destroyed by graves. Fortunately, Schmitt still knows the recipe very well, as he started as an apprentice in the company his grandfather founded. With this large order, the company is financially secure and does not have to be sold.

With this role reversal, Schmitt also helped his chauffeur, who had represented him very well all along, to his personal happiness. As "Schmitt", Ollerbeck got to know and love the wealthy Miranda Sotschmann, so that he gave up his job and moved to Sotschmann.
