action
Episode 1 - Schnitzel à la Hollywood
The long-term unemployed Günther and Wolfgang fail in their attempt to become the thousandth customer in a supermarket, whereupon Günther accidentally steals a few batteries and therefore has to do detention at the garbage disposal, while Wolfgang is attending a social media course. When Günther discovers valuable postage stamps in the garbage, the owners, the managers of the Büsching brewery, are notified. Wolfgang suggests doing advertising with Günther. Meanwhile, a photo is taken of the two in their regular schnitzel stall, but Günther is shown with a different beer brand. As a result, the campaign is canceled.
Episode 2 - Schnitzel à la Familia
After the two of them were also terminated by the parcel service, they parted ways and Wolfgang got a temporary job in his old industry, men's outerwear in the start-up Herrenherz. Günther, however, presumably sets off a fire on his floor and temporarily moves in with Wolfgang, which is not a good name for Wolfgang's wife Karin (Wolfgang and Karin learn that their daughter Jessie has a boyfriend). After discovering a system error in the grading of clothing, Wolfgang hopes to be promoted to head of department, his colleague Benny claims it was his discovery, and is promoted by boss Matse and lets Wolfgang resign, which Wolfgang Karin is hiding. When Jessie brings her boyfriend with her the next day, he turns out to be Benny, who quits the next day out of guilt and wants to catch up on his high school diploma. Wolfgang is then hired again and it turns out that Wolfgang's boss has also been fired and the position is being filled again due to the quota of women. Günther later found out that the neighbor might have caused the fire by an overturned ashtray in a sofa.
Episode 3 - Schnitzel housewife style
Günther wants to work as a hobbyist - because of his high wages and because like Theo, the owner of the Schnitzelbude, he wants to buy an e-bike. However, since he has no talent, he woos his neighbor's granddaughters and their friends. As the new head of department, Wolfgang is supposed to fire employees, but only dismisses his daughter Jessie, whom he continues to pay out of his own pocket, and Karin now wants to buy a sinfully expensive one-room apartment and concludes a purchase agreement. Since Wolfgang cannot fire any other employees, he himself is dismissed. After his neighbor's frustration, Günther dismisses the children and gives her the new e-bike. Meanwhile, Wolfgang Karin confesses that he has been fired, but Karin is happy that they are keeping their apartment. It ends with Wolfgang and Günther eating schnitzel.
Episode 4 - Schnitzel Husarenart
Günther believes he has skin cancer and wants to ask a relative if there is skin cancer in the family. Wolfgang finds Günther's aunt via the Internet, where Wolfgang and Günther meet a man who claims that Günther's aunt owed him. The next morning Wolfgang and Günther work off the debts from him, who has turned out to be a trickster, by selling goods to old people with whom they soon feel sorry for. Then Wolfgang is notified by a relative from Argentina who wants to build a car dealership in Dortmund. When they are supposed to sell the seniors new goods, they confess everything to them and lead them to the tricksters, where they claim their money back. When it later turns out that Günther's aunt is addicted to shopping, she and Jessie help them sell the stuff. Wolfgang is then informed again by his relative, who wants to appoint him as managing director and asks him for € 1000 start-up capital. After Wolfgang transfers it, Jessie realizes that it was a fraud and Wolfgang and Günther have to buy Karin a new bed.
Episode 5 - Schnitzel de luxe
Episode 6 - Schnitzel dell'arte
Episodes 5 and 6 are also a double episode broadcast as a television film “Schnitzel de luxe”.
