Andrei Melita

Andrej Melita (born 1978 ) is a German film composer and musician .

Life

Melita ended up in the media industry by chance after completing community service , after a director friend of his uncle's encountered a ballet he had composed for himself. By its first commissioned work for the on-air design of the ARD , he won the Eyes & Ears Award later.

From 2000 Melita mainly composed music for short, image and advertising films, and from the mid-2000s also increasingly for cinema and television productions such as the adaptations of the children's book series Die Wilden Fußballkerle by Joachim Masannek . In 2016, his title song for the film Macho Man, composed together with lyricist Timothy Auld, was nominated for the German Film Music Prize in the category Best Song in Film .

Melita works as a lecturer for studio and computer technology at the University of Music and Theater in Munich .
