Die Wilden Kerle 2 (subtitle: Everything is good, as long as you are wild!) Is a German children's film from 2005 . It is the sequel to Die Wilden Kerle with the same subtitle. The plot is roughly based on the 9th volume in the series, Joschka, the Seventh Cavalry .

action

The “wild guys” have become a real team. You are now playing in a league for the championship. As a special incentive, the DFB has scheduled a game against the national team for the champions. But shortly before the decisive game against SV 1906, the wild guys got into trouble. First your trainer travels, then the DFB demands that the devil's pot be converted for the game against the national team.

Leon then decides to borrow the necessary money from Maxi's father. But he has conditions: If the wild guys are not able to host the game against the national team, that would be the end of the guys he hated (he would rather train his son as his successor) and they would also have to join a handicraft club . Leon is confident of victory and hits. But that is not the end of the problem. Shortly afterwards, Vanessa falls in love with Gonzo, the leader of a skater gang, and goes with him.

The guys know that Vanessa is very important for her win against SV 1906. That's how you try to get them back. First with a threat and then with a trick. But Vanessa doesn't come back. Finally Leon realizes that he is not only missing Vanessa's passports - no; he loves her. Because even a disguise as a DFB man does not bring Vanessa back, Leon's father suggests writing a love letter. Leon, however, denies that Vanessa loves him or her Vanessa, but goes back to Vanessa and Gonzo, where he decides to write a letter. Gonzo persuades Vanessa that this was a lie, but although she doubts, she does not want to believe Gonzo.

Then comes the day of the game against SV 1906. The guys hope to be successful without Vanessa. But the next shock awaits them in the cabin. The shirts were stolen from Gonzo. The guys have to play the game in their underpants. Totally insecure, the guys are quickly behind. Then Gonzo shows up with Vanessa. Leon is shocked, just stands there and mentally comes into contact with her. At halftime it is 5-0 for SV 1906. The guys are frustrated in their dressing room, where they see their future in a craft club for Christmas decorations. But then Vanessa shows up and not only gives the guys courage, but also war paint. The guys (with Vanessa) play like a different player in the second half. You spin the game and win 6-5. So the guys are united, are determined as champions and play against the national team. Everything perfect, one might believe.

But far from it. Gonzo has occupied the devil's pot. He's only ready to leave when Vanessa comes back to him. But Leon does not want to let her go (although his friends urge him to do so) and the devil's pot remains besieged. But now a trick is used. They know that Gonzo believes in the old witch Staraja Riba. They pursue them and their huge army and drive him out of the devil's pot. The game against the national team can take place. And then the guys start furiously and quickly take a 1-0 lead.

criticism

Lexicon of international film : Smart children's film that cleverly capitalizes on the natural development process of its actors. From a dramaturgical point of view, he also knows how to deal intelligently with age-related conflicts, even if the children's language sometimes sounds artificial and the adult characters are quite pale.

The German film and media rating FBW in Wiesbaden gave the film the rating of particularly valuable.

Further information

Differences to the book template

  • Wilden Kerle's trainer Willi plays in the book.

Change of line-up for the first part

  • The entire Beck family (father Rufus and son Jonathan, as well as daughter Sarah in a supporting role) got out. While Jonathan's role was taken over by Konrad Baumann, Willi ( Rufus Beck ) was written out.
  • Constantin Gastmann (Fabi) was removed from the team by those responsible because his voice broke during the shoot and they did not find it suitable for the guys.
  • Jojo does not appear in the film. Unlike with Willi (who is on vacation), his absence is also not discussed.
  • Deniz is new and Leon's new best friend; he practically "took over" Fabi's role without explanation to the audience.
