action

Summary

The wild guys are a group of boys playing football . After losing their football pitch to fat Michi and his group of “invincible winners”, the boys have to become a team to get the pitch back. There is also a girl who wants to train with us and who will later join the team.

introduction

The summer holidays will start the day after tomorrow , but it's raining. The wild guys go to their football field. But Willi, who runs a kiosk on the football field , makes it clear to them that the square is closed because of the rain. The boys go home frustrated, play football in their apartment and want to drive away the rain. Since they cause some damage in the process, they are given house arrest .

Bulk

1st sequence
So sneak out of the house secretly. But fat Michi and his group, the “Invincible Winners”, are on the football field. Since these are older and stronger than the wild guys, they drive the wild guys off the football field. Leon, the leader of the wild guys, doesn't want to accept that. So he asks fat Michi to play a soccer game in ten days.

In order to win, they ask Willi for his help as a coach, as he has told them that he used to be a professional footballer . You are now exercising in the meadow by the river. At first, the guys also make progress in trying to become a team. However, Leon's skills as team captain are far from being fully developed. For example, he always wants to do everything himself and never gives up the ball. He finally throws Raban and Joschka out of the team because he sees them as too weak. Since there is a lack of people for the team, Leon has to look for new boys.

2. Sequence
He finally finds two new team members. A girl would also like to participate. Since the wild guys don't like this at all, Vanessa challenges the boys with the help of Leon's best friend Fabi. At her birthday party she throws a penalty shootout. In fact, she manages to beat all the boys, and so she has to be accepted into the wild guys.

In the meantime, Raban and Joschka have joined the “Invincible Winners”. But they don't like the behavior of fat Michi and his gang. When they shadow the wild guys and realize that they have become really good in that time, they plan an attack on the wild guys' tree house "Camelot". Raban and Joschka tell this to Willi. In this way, the wild guys are warned in good time and can successfully defend their tree house against the "invincible winners".

3rd sequence
But the battered, fat Michi has an ace up his sleeve to destroy the morale of the wild guys. He tells them that Willi was never a professional footballer. As a result, the wild guys no longer trust Willi and the group breaks up. Eventually Vanessa, urged by her grandma, takes the initiative to save the wild guys. She brings the boys to a joint test of courage at the quarry pond, and that welds the group together again. Slowly, everyone no longer finds it bad that Vanessa is in the group.

4. Sequence
The soccer game against fat Michi and his "invincible winners" begins. But without their coach, the "wild guys" have no chance and lose the first half with 0: 8 against fat Michi. That's why Raban goes from the wild guys to Willi and persuades him to be her trainer again. And so the game turns. Shortly before the end, the score is 9: 8 for the “wild guys”. Then Leon again makes the mistake of not passing the ball. So Willi takes him out and Raban comes; after Leon tried to make it clear that they were losing that way, he took Maxi off the seat and replaced Joschka. Leon is angry about it. Finally, he can persuade Willi to switch him on again around July. It is now 9: 9 and Leon storms single-handedly towards the goal despite the admonition from Willi and his teammates . The ball rolls right in front of Raban's feet and he hits with his left to win. Leon is pissed off at first because he wanted to score the decisive goal, but finally Willi cheers him up again and Leon realizes his mistake. With the win against the fat Michi, the "wild guys" have become a real team.

Enough

After this victory, the football field belongs to the wild guys again. And the “invincible winners” can also be found there, but from now on they are the “servants” of the wild guys. The wild guys are happy about the “sweet life”, but it shouldn't be too sweet either, and so they are already planning their next adventure.

analysis

construction

The film follows the tradition of films from the 1970s like Krempoli - A Place for Wild Children and The Bears Are Going . What is striking is the style that encourages children to be courageous towards adults and to defend their playground, as with Krempoli . Elements of the “great father” of the children's team sport films The Bears Are Going are also represented in this film. In addition, the background music is not just pure instrumental music, but the music of Bananafishbones underlines the emotional state and opinions of the main characters. This cinematic design medium was also used primarily in the 1970s.

template

The film is largely based on the first part of the book series "Die wilden Fußballkerle"; "Leon, the slalom dribbler". Individual elements are taken from the following books: The test of courage after dinner comes from "Felix the Whirlwind", Vanessa's birthday "Vanessa the Intrepid" and the fight for Camelot "July, the chain of four".

people

The wild guys are a large group of children and therefore, due to the film format, not all people can be introduced in detail.

  • Leon is a born leader; so he would like to do everything himself and must first learn to share. He learns to deal with the responsibility that a leader has.
  • Fabi is Leon's best friend. He always stands by him no matter what.
  • Vanessa is a girl who does not deny her femininity . Vanessa does not want to submit to the apparent constraints that are socially required of a girl.
  • Marlon , as number 10, is Leon's older brother. He sometimes argues with his brother Leon, but he sticks to him and the group.
  • Maxi is the boy with the hardest shot in the world. He never speaks. However, he shines with his deeds.
  • Markus is the team's indomitable goalkeeper.
  • Jojo is an orphan boy and Markus' best friend.
  • Juli , Huckleberry Fort Knox, is the back four rolled into one. He is the older brother of Joschka.
  • Joschka , the seventh cavalry , is the youngest and smallest of the group. He is thrown from the team by Leon. However, he comes back and saves the wild guys several times.
  • Raban is a clumsy guy who wears Coca-Cola glasses and has to play with his cousins.
  • Willi is an adult who has retained something of the child in him. In this way he can understand the needs of the boys well and guides them on their way to learn camaraderie .

Reviews

“Thanks to some nice gags, like the bikes of the Wilder guys, which are underlaid with motorcycle noises and spread a little Hells Angels atmosphere,“ The Wilder guys ”should go down well with the younger ones - with fans of the book series anyway. Unfortunately, the film refrains from addressing the older generation with a little more subtle humor - as, for example, so many Disney comedies do perfectly. "

- Frank Geissler / Ricore Text

“The message of self-confidence , solidarity and tolerance is conveyed in an understandable, but very cautious way by the surprisingly confident direction by cinema debutant Joachim Masannek. The best chances of success for a runaway victory for Sam Film and the distributor Buena Vista , who will finally be active again on a national level. "

- Focus: film

"The result is a tumultuous pleasure without a deeper educational intention, but a plea for friendship and team spirit ."
