However, when they find a mysterious map and then meet Willi, the old trainer of the wild guys, it is clear to them that it was not a fairy tale.
Willi explains to them that the fat Michi and his soccer team, the Galactic Winners, were banned from playing the Teufelstopf for ten years after the Wilder Kerle's victory. These ten years will be over in ten days and if no team can be found that can defeat the Galactic victors again, fat Michi will get access to the devil's pot again. The new wild things want to avoid this by all means and begin a hard training in order to be able to defeat the Galactic Victors.

criticism
The film received mixed reviews. It was criticized that the film has a very similar storyline to the first part of the Die Wilden Kerle series.
Christian Gertz from the filmstarts.de editorial team said in his conclusion about the film: "New guys, old weaknesses: With the reboot of the extremely successful series, author and director Joachim Masannek is once again doing his thing."
Anna Wollner from kino-zeit.de found him “so exhausted and over-equipped that he deprives himself of all imagination and cannot find his own rhythm. [The film] is ruined by its self-reflection, it nips every hint of authenticity and childish play instinct in the bud. "
