Adnan Maral (born July 1, 1968 in Çıldır , Ardahan , Turkey ) is a German-Turkish actor . He grew up in Frankfurt am Main .

Life

In addition to numerous appearances in films and on television, Maral was also seen a lot in the theater , for example at the Deutsches Theater Berlin and at the Schaubühne . Maral became known to a larger audience through his portrayal of Metin in the ARD early evening series Turkish for Beginners , which won international television awards. From 2008 to 2010 Maral played in the children's series Schloss Einstein as Arvid Farsad.

On the occasion of the "Ernst Reuter Initiative" for the German-Turkish dialogue, Maral accompanied the then Federal Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier to Istanbul in September 2006 .

In Die Wilden Kerle he played three different roles in three of five parts. (Part 1: Fruit Seller, Part 2: Trainer from SV 1906, Part 3: Hajji Ben Hajji)

In 2014 he presented his book Adnan for Beginners .

Maral is married to a Swiss woman with whom he has three children. The family lives near Munich .
