action

Bernhard, the father of Julian, Dick and Anne is organizing an exhibition on ancient Egypt. The friends discover an old gold amulet after an attempted break-in. So they fly to Cairo with Elena, a colleague of their father. In Cairo, the father of the three falls into a trap and is then accused of theft. He is imprisoned until the trial. The five try to prove Bernhard's innocence and turn to Auni, a juvenile pickpocket, to help. Together they can prove Bernhard's innocence and free him.

reception

kino.de judged that the more mature actors would make the “problems and interpersonal relationships a bit more adult” than in the previous films. However, “the fun of storytelling” and “exotic locations” as well as “well-dosed action moments” remained the same.

TV Spielfilm attested to the film that it was "extremely exciting" and "not for the faint of heart". Above all, the final in the Sahara is "hard to beat in terms of drama". The tension was exhausted in "some scenes to the limit of the bearable", the adventure "not only sounds like a novel by Dan Brown ", it is "just as exciting".
