This is a remake of the 1993 OVA Dragon Ball Z Gaiden: Saiyajin Zetsumetsu Keikaku ( ド ラ ゴ ン ボ ー ル Z 外 伝 サ イ ヤ 人 絶滅 計画 ), which was also produced for a video game of the same name.

After you could watch the film at the beginning only by buying the video game, it was later available in a magazine published by Saikyō Jump on February 3, 2012 along with the film Dragon Ball: Episode of Bardock .

action

The planet of the Tuffle people fell victim to attacks by the Saiyans under the command of King Vegeta many years ago. Only the scientist Dr. Lychee, who had developed a machine that absorbed the hatred of all residents during the battle, was able to escape badly wounded with the same machine. Now he planned to take revenge on the Saiyajins, whereupon he made his way to Earth to destroy Son Goku, Son Gohan, Vegeta and Trunks.

For this purpose he has developed devices that he has placed all over the world and that now emit deadly Destron gas. According to Bulma's calculations, the Z-fighters around Piccolo only have 72 hours before the gas will inexorably exterminate humanity. So Son-Goku and the rest make their way to the individual devices, which are, however, protected by an apparently indestructible protective shield. Suddenly Freezer, Cooler, Tales and Lord Slug appear, all of whom were actually killed by Son Goku. The group is clearly superior to the four attackers, but they have to recognize that their bodies are created again and again by the Destron gas and thus seem indestructible. But Bulma appears with an antidote she has developed to the gas, which turns off both the four enemies and the machines. Finally, they discover Dr. Lychee, who is producing the gas with his giant engineered machine called the Hatchiyack , powered by the absorbed hatred of the Tuffle. Vegeta deletes Dr. Lychee, who, however, reveals himself as a spirit with an equally fake body. Thereupon Hatchiyack transforms into a large cyborg, strengthened by the hatred, against which Goku and the rest have no chance. After the fighters are pushed back by Hatchiyack, Goku realizes that the cyborg is vulnerable during his special attack. When Hatchiyack moves on to his next attack, each one is using their own special attack, and if they join forces they can get him and Dr. Destroy Lychees facility, which will also destroy the gas equipment on earth. Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Trunks and Piccolo finally return home wounded but alive.
