Five Friends 3 is a feature film that opened in German cinemas on January 16, 2014. The script was based on the children's book series Five Friends by Enid Blyton , in particular the volumes Five Friends Explore Treasure Island and Five Friends Help Their Comrades . After Five Friends 2 , the film is already the second sequel . Part 3 was partly shot in Thailand.

action

While on vacation on an exotic island, the five friends discover a mysterious compass while diving in a shipwreck, which, according to the local girl Joe, indicates a pirate's treasure. After George, Julian, Dick, and Anne befriend the girl, they learn that the investor, Mr. Haynes, has plans to build a holiday park on the bay. Joe's family would be driven out of the bay by these plans, and so they decide to look for the pirate treasure in order to save the family home with it. The Five Friends and Joe, however, have to defend themselves against the gangster couple Cassi and Nick while searching for the treasure (in which Julian is bitten by a poisonous beetle, the so-called "Black Ranger").

criticism

“Such an act composed of set pieces can - especially adults - only ever inspire to a limited extent. For children, the third 'Five Friends' part is at least halfway exciting. "
