Five Friends 2 is a German feature film from 2013 and the sequel to Five Friends . The script was based on the children's book series Five Friends by Enid Blyton . The story of Five Friends in Trouble was retold. The German theatrical release was on January 31, 2013.

During the summer holidays, the five friends set off on a bike tour into the mysterious Katzenmoor. There the "Black Cat", a historical figure, is said to have saved the largest emerald in the world, the "Green Eye", from thieves and hidden it in the 16th century. Nobody has found him until today. You get to know the same age, wealthy and spoiled Hardy. On a test drive with his quad, Dick is mistaken for Hardy and kidnapped. Because for the crooks, Hardy is the last piece of the puzzle for the “Green Eye”. The original treasure map is already in the possession of the kidnappers. With Hardy's help, the five friends take up the chase and have to do with a traveling circus, the medieval castle “Owl's Nest” and an extensive cave system under the Gaffenstein cliffs.

In June 2013 filming began on Five Friends 3 . The production of Five Friends 3 apparently ran into difficulties beforehand; the cast of the dog named Coffey has been changed.
