Tayfun Bademsoy (born October 14, 1958 in Mersin , Turkey ) is a German-Turkish actor and voice actor .

Life

Bademsoy came to Berlin with his parents in 1969 at the age of ten . His mother is the actress Sabahat Bademsoy . He graduated from the Martin-Buber-Oberschule and studied psychology at the Technical University of Berlin from 1979 to 1983 .

Bademsoy began his acting career with a leading role in the television play Zuhaus unter Fremde on the broadcaster Free Berlin . In Peter Stein's theater production of Klassen Feind (1983) and later in the film of the same name , he played a Turkish student who mainly duels with other students in order to pass the time until the teacher arrives; however, the teacher no longer appears. Further theater work followed at the Frankfurter Schauspielhaus , the Renaissance Theater in Berlin and most recently at Ludwigshafen .

Since 1979 Bademsoy has worked in over 350 TV and cinema productions, mainly in crime series, including some Tatort episodes, throughout the TV series Ein starkes Team (1995–2009) and Polizeiruf 110 Munich. He became known through the movie Hit by Dominik Graf , the TV film Die Abschichtung and the 20-part TV series Zwei Schlitzohren in Antalya . He played Jimmy's father in the 17-part RTL television series Alle liebe Jimmy . He played an international movie role as the founder of Atlantic Records , Ertegün , in the film Beyond the Sea , directed by Kevin Spacey .

In addition to directing - mostly for shorts and commercials or as a co-director - Bademsoy is also a voice actor . For example, he loaned Fares Fares in the cinema adaptations by Jussi Adler Olsen, Naveen Andrews in the series Lost , Mark Strong in Body of Lies , Fisher Stevens in number 5 lives! , Benicio del Toro in The Usual Suspects and in Ab through the hedge his voice to the hangover. Bademsoy also played Doran Martell, played by Alexander Siddig, in seasons 5 and 6 of the HBO series Game of Thrones . He also works as a speaker for many radio plays and computer games. Among other things, he was recognized as best actor at the Shortcutz Berlin film festival in 2015 for the leading role in the short film Bussiness as Usual .

1998 Tayfun Bademsoy founded the Acting Agency Foreign Faces in Berlin, which he called until 2004 Managing headed. The agency placed actors of foreign origin for German productions.
