Everyone loves Jimmy was a series on RTL television . The series was shot and produced back in 2005, at that time under the working title Halbmond über Neukirchen . The series was produced by Bavaria Film GmbH . In Turkey, the series was entitled Cemil Oldu Jimmy (Turkish: "Cemil will Jimmy") unsuccessful on Kanal D broadcast.

Jimmy, actually Cemil, lives with his family in a Neukirchen villa. His father Metin is a building contractor, his mother Gül is a housewife. His sisters Leyla and Fatma still live in the household, with Leyla following the latest fashion trends and Fatma being socially committed. Jimmy's best friend Ben visits every day. In addition, because he is with the Arkadas family so often, Ben feels like the second son. Conflicts occur more often in the family, whereby the humorous element of the argument in the manner of a sitcom is emphasized in the series .
In the pilot episode, Jimmy has just come of age and is supposed to get a car from his grandmother Aynur. This insists that Jimmy can be circumcised beforehand. Jimmy doesn't want that at all.
Contrary to popular stereotypes about Turks on German television, the family is portrayed as fully integrated. All family members speak high German, largely without an accent, only occasionally a short Turkish sentence can be heard.
