Volkan Baydar
Volkan Baydar (also known as Volcan Baydar ; born March 31, 1971 in Hamburg ) is the singer and composer of the pop duo Orange Blue as well as an actor and speaker.
Life
Volkan Baydar, the son of Turkish parents, has been playing the piano since he was six and started writing his own songs at an early age. He got to know the pianist and songwriter Vince Bahrdt through an advertisement for a soul band in a Hamburg scene magazine that was looking for a singer .
In 1992 they founded the pop group Orange Blue. Volkan worked as a taxi driver and musical actor, Vince worked for a production company. Volkan moved to New York , where he played the piano and took acting lessons. In 2000 Orange Blue successfully released their debut album. Her second single was part of the soundtrack for the Walt Disney film Dinosaur . The pop duo has now sold over a million records. Baydar also took acting lessons at the Stage School Hamburg , which he successfully completed in 1996.
From 2005 to 2007 Baydar played the role of "Ali" in the RTL comedy series Alle liebe Jimmy . Since 2008 Baydar has repeatedly participated in the Bimbache openART project of the guitar virtuoso Torsten de Winkel , in which artists from all over the world and from a wide variety of styles meet. In 2009 he sang the title song Another Time for the “New 7 Wonders of Nature” campaign , which was produced by Harold Faltermeyer . In 2011 he spoke the role of the chameleon "Sammy" in three episodes of the animated series CHI RHO . In 2012, Volkan Baydar published his first solo album, Raum , for which he wrote the texts, compositions and arrangements himself. Baydar's song Beautiful Life has been the title track of the ZDF early evening series Dr. Small .
Volkan Baydar lives in Hamburg. He has a son. His younger brother Tayfun Baydar starred in the series Gute Zeiten, Bad Zeiten from 2008 to 2016 .
