Tayfun Baydar

Tayfun Baydar (born January 23, 1975 in Hamburg ) is a German theater and television actor of Turkish descent.

Life

Tayfun Baydar passed his high school diploma and trained at the School for Drama Hamburg . In addition to taking acting lessons , he also received training in camera technology . Baydar also attended workshops in “Acting on Camera” at the Vienna Film School.

During his apprenticeship he had various odd jobs and worked as a taxi driver to make a living. In 2003, following a casting , Baydar received the role of the Turkish youth Metin in the play Voll auf der Rolle in the Hamburg Imperial Theater on the Reeperbahn . Further theater appearances followed, including in the Kampnagel-Fabrik cultural center , in the Hamburg youth theater and in the Hamburg monsoon theater. At the Imperial Theater, Baydar also played in the stage versions of The Witcher and The Black Abbot based on the crime novels by Edgar Wallace .

Baydar starred in the 2007 music drama Microfan . The film was also shown at the 2007 Hof Film Festival. In the following years, Baydar also played in several short films and in various productions at the Hamburg Media School .

Baydar applied to the TV station RTL with a demo tape , but only received a positive response and an invitation to the casting after more than three years. He gained fame especially in the role of Tayfun Badak in the RTL series Gute Zeiten - Schlechte Zeiten , where he was a permanent member from December 2008 to the end of April 2016. He played the role of the owner of the late purchase . In August 2017, Baydar starred in the series In All Friendship - The Young Doctors in an episode lead role; he played Viktor Oehme, a logistics manager with tinnitus .

Baydar is committed to the animal rights organization PETA . Together with his former good times, bad times actress Sıla Şahin , he is supporting PETA's campaign against buying and trading animals from breeders.

Tayfun Baydar is the brother of Volkan Baydar , the lead singer of the band Orange Blue . Baydar lives in Berlin and Hamburg and commutes between these two cities.
