Sıla Şahin-Radlinger (born Şahin ; born December 3, 1985 in Berlin-Spandau ) is a German-Turkish actress .

life and career

Education and actress

Şahin already played first roles in the theater group of her school and worked as a model . Şahin then completed an apprenticeship as a beautician and at the same time attended the Charlottenburg Acting School in Berlin . She also took private acting lessons. In addition to her acting training, she had ballet and singing lessons in Berlin-Charlottenburg .

She played the role of Regine in the play Gespenster by Henrik Ibsen for the Berlin PE Ensemble .

She became known for her lead role in the television series Gute Zeiten, Bad Zeiten . From 2009 to 2014 Şahin played the role of Ayla Höfer nee. Özgül. On October 26, 2012, she received two awards at the German Soap Award 2012 in Berlin, in the categories: “Sexiest Woman” and “Most Beautiful Lovers” (together with Jörn Schlönvoigt ).

The Turkish-born journalist Hatice Akyün accused Playboy of deliberately staging Şahin in an orientalist guise as a representative of the Turkish community in orderto gain publicityagainst the background of the charged integration debate. Gökçe Yurdakul from the Institute for Social Sciences at Berlin's Humboldt University pleaded for not seeing the daughter of Turkish immigrants in Şahin, butfor understandingthe publication of her nudes as an autonomous act of self-determination by a woman. In response to the debate, Playboy's editor-in-chief Florian Boitin said that Şahin was not a Muslim and that the nudes did not represent a religious statement.
