Christian Polanc

Christian Polanc (born May 14, 1978 in Ingolstadt ) is a German dancer and dance trainer .

After finishing secondary school, Polanc trained as a railroad worker in operations . Then he made up his Abitur. During this time, he began after 1995 a dance class had visited dancesport operate and won in 1997 ranked third in the German Championship Group A main Latin . After graduating from high school, he began to study law, which he did not complete due to his frequent changes of residence due to his dance career.

Polanc danced with Petra Kostovčíková until 2005, who had to end her dance career due to health problems. The couple started for the TSA Schwarz-Gold in ESV Ingolstadt. As a trainer, he teaches Latin and fashion dances at TSA Schwarz-Gold in ESV Ingolstadt, TSC Metropol Munich and the Dance Tournament Club Erlangen .

From 2005 to the end of 2011 Christian Polanc did not take part in the tournament. In October 2011 he switched to the professionals and danced there with Melissa Ortiz-Gomez , with whom he also had a private relationship until 2013.

Since the second season in 2007 he has been participating in the RTL dance show Let's Dance , which he won in 2007 and 2011. In the 71st Traumschiff episode Perth , broadcast on January 1, 2014  , he appeared together with Ortiz-Gomez as a guest actor.

Let's dance

Christian Polanc has been dancing regularly in the dance show since 2007. In the second season he took first place with actress Susan Sideropoulos . He played the third season broadcast in 2010 with Hillu Schwetje , who did not appear again after the first broadcast due to an accident. From the seventh show, Christian Polanc stepped in for Sylvie van der Vaart's injured dance partner , Christian Bärens. In season four, he danced with Maite Kelly , with whom he won the show for the second time. In the fifth season he danced with the blind singer Joana Zimmer , with whom he took fourth place. In the sixth season he took part with Sıla Şahin , with whom he finished second. In 2014 he competed with the millionaire Carmen Geiss , with whom he made it to the semi-finals. In 2015, his dance partner was the comedian and presenter Enissa Amani . The couple took fourth place. In the 9th season of 2016 he danced with the actress Nastassja Kinski , they left the 7th show. In 2017 he danced with the pop singer Vanessa Mai ; the couple reached second place. In 2018 Iris Mareike Steen was his dance partner. The couple dropped out after the eighth episode, but were then able to continue dancing because of the injury-related abandonment of Bela Klentze . In the end, it took fifth place. In 2019 Polanc Nazan Eckes led to the semi-finals. In 2020 he danced with Laura Müller in sixth place. At the “Let's Dance” professional challenge 2020, he danced with Christina Luft . The couple was voted first by the audience.
