Susan Sideropoulos (born October 14, 1980 in Hamburg ) is a German actress and television presenter .

Life

Her family name comes from her Greek father; her mother was born in Israel to German- Jewish refugees . A stumbling block in Hamburg reminds of her great-grandfather Alphons Abel, who was deported by the Nazis in 1942 and died a year later. Sideropoulos has been married to her childhood friend Jakob Shtizberg since the end of 2005. In 2006 they married according to the Jewish rite . They have two sons who were born in 2010 and 2011.

After graduating from high school, she studied acting at the Hamburg Stage School Dance & Drama. From 2001 to 2011, she played the role of Verena Koch in Gute Zeiten, Bad Zeiten . From autumn 2005 she occasionally moderated the comedy news program Freitag Nacht News on RTL as a guest presenter with Henry Gründler . From January to April 2006 she presented the music show Top of the Pops on RTL, alternating every two weeks with Ole Tillmann . In 2006 she appeared in a supporting role in In the Name of the Law . From May 2007 she took part in the second season of the dance show Let's Dance , in which she won with her partner Christian Polanc .

In October 2007, she was nominated for Favorite Actress at the Nick Kids' Choice Awards . In March 2008, she hosted The Dome 45 . From April 2008 she was shown weekly on Saturdays in the new RTL sketch show WunderBar in seven episodes. In October 2008 she was nominated for the German Comedy Award in the Best Actress category. In October 2009 she appeared as a police officer and later murder victim in the episode "Alte Freunde" in the series Alarm für Cobra 11 . In late 2010 she was featured in a shampoo commercial .

In 2012 and 2013 she was a juror at Jewrovision in Munich. In August 2012, she and Yared Dibaba replaced the Dutch presenter Linda de Mol in the new edition of Traumhochzeit . In 2013 she played in the ZDF series Coast Guard . In December 2013 she was a candidate for Let's Dance - Let's Christmas . In February 2015 she participated in the VOX telecast Celebrity Shopping Queen part.

From autumn 2015 she played the main role in the Sat.1 - daily soap Mila , which was given to sister station sixx after 10 episodes due to low ratings . From autumn 2015 it was on Sat.1 on Got to Dance Kids , an offshoot of the show Got to Dance broadcast on ProSieben . In the 2016 season she took on the role of Ellen Patterson in a production of Der Schatz im Silbersee at the Karl May Games in Bad Segeberg . In July 2019, she took part in the ProSieben program The Masked Singer in a butterfly costume and dropped out in the second episode.

Volunteering

Sideropoulos is an ambassador for the Christian children's and youth organization Die Arche and supports the RTL children's home in Berlin-Friedrichshain. She is also involved as an ambassador for the integration competition “All kids are VIPs” of the Bertelsmann Foundation. She is a vegetarian and posed for a vegetarianism campaign by the animal rights organization PETA .
