Enissa Amani (real name Sahar Enissa Amani , Persian سحر انیسا امانی; * December 8, 1983 in Tehran ) is an Iranian - German comedian and presenter .

life and career

Enissa Amani was born in Tehran as the daughter of a literature professor and a doctor. Because their socialist parents were politically persecuted, the family fled from Iran to Frankfurt am Main in 1985 . After graduating from high school in 2003, Amani studied law , but dropped out to study literature . She also worked in the cosmetics sector . Between 2004 and 2005 she also worked as a flight attendant . She has lived in Cologne since 2006 .

Amani took part in several beauty contests and was named Miss 24.de , Vice- Miss West Germany and Miss Tourism Iran . For a month she presented clothes and cosmetics on the QVC channel . In mid-2013, she began stand-up comedy on an open stage and shortly afterwards appeared on NightWash , TV total , Satire Gipfel and StandUpMigranten . She went on tour with RebellComedy for the first time. In 2014 she was nominated for the Prix ​​Pantheon (jury award). In January 2015 she took part in the RTL Comedy Grand Prix . In 2015 she was seen as a candidate for the RTL show Let's Dance ; her partner was Christian Polanc . The couple took fourth place.

In 2016, Enissa Amani hosted her first late-night show with Studio Amani on ProSieben , of which eight episodes were broadcast from March to May. The program was supposed to combine up-to-the-minute comments, stand-up comedy and talk show, in which Amani discussed migration , social media , commercials and old Internet photos, among other things . Spiegel.de wrote that the highlight of the show was a culture battle in which "Amani sometimes gave out rough, even below the belt and exploited clichés".

From December 2016, ProSieben ran a sketch show entitled 'nissa - Stories from Life . Amani told stories from her life in four episodes and was supported by Sabine Vitua in the role of her psychotherapist. Due to different interpretations of content for the future, Amani and the broadcaster separated.

A comedy special with the title Ehrenwort has been available on the Netflix streaming service since April 2018 . The recording took place in the St. Pauli Theater in Hamburg . This made her the first German and first female European to offer her program on Netflix. In 2019, a 30-minute appearance was released for the Netflix series Comedians of the World . In April 2019, she was one of the nine jury members at the About You Awards ceremony , which was broadcast on ProSieben, and moderated the Comedy category .
