Comedy mit Karsten is a comedy program on Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk ( MDR ) that has been broadcast since 2014 from the “Neue Schauspiel” in Leipzig . With the beginning of the fifth season - in 2018 it was renamed Comedy without Karsten .
The hosts Julius Fischer and Christian Meyer present short appearances by German-speaking comedians in a classic revue sequence, interrupted by the hosts' own music and comedy interludes. Fischer and Meyer also appeared together as The Fuck Hornisschen Orchestra . As a kind of "silent sidekick " of the show "Karsten" appeared in the first four seasons, who sat in the audience and never laughed. His identity was kept top secret. Many well-known and unknown German comedians have been guests in the Comedy Mixed Show since 2014.
