Tilman Birr (born August 25, 1980 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German author , songwriter and cabaret artist .

Life

Birr began his stage career as a reading stage reader and poetry slammer . In 2002 he founded the reading stage you trust in Frankfurt am Main, later he became a member of the Berlin Saturday Show . In addition, Birr moderates the Saalslam , a poetry slam in Berlin-Neukölln, together with Maik Martschinkowsky . The stage artist was awarded several prizes for his first solo program Das Was Here Alles Feld . In 2012 his humorous novel "On se left you see se Victory Column - Experiences of a Cityscape Explainer " was published by Munich-based Manhattan Verlag , which is also available as an audio book ( Hörverlag München ). At the beginning of 2013 the music album "Society condemns something like that" followed and at the beginning of 2016 his second music album "I stole a truck for you".

In "It's nice to live, but I wouldn't like to visit - a little local lore ", Birr takes a critical look at German mentalities and portrays many German peculiarities as strange and worth considering.
