Stefan Waghubinger (born October 1, 1966 in Steyr , Upper Austria) is an Austrian cabaret artist , cartoonist and children's book author.

Life

Stefan Waghubinger studied in Germany theology and lives in Stuttgart since 1,993th Since 1999 he has regularly published cartoons with Andrea Waghubinger such as “A-men”, “Tim and Laura”, “Kleine Welt” or “Our best years”.

Since 2009 he has performed in German-speaking countries with excerpts from his first solo program “Slowly, I get uncomfortable”, and since 2011 with the entire program. His pieces, which are somewhere between theater, cabaret and comedy, have a serious background and are intended to raise the audience's question, “How can we still live?” In 2013, WortArt published a radio play CD of the same name and a book of the same name in which he explains the philosophical background of his stage program in a humorous way.

Waghubinger has been playing his second solo program "Extraordinary Burdens" since 2014 and his third solo program since 2017 with the title "Now the good days could have come". Since 2017 he has also performed with Uta Köbernick in the joint program “Why not?”.

In the laudation of the Stuttgart broom jury in 2011 it was said: “Stefan Waghubinger complains at the highest (educational) level. Theologically adept, he celebrates his black mass. This comedy is adorable and to die for. "

Stefan Waghubinger is a member of the highly gifted Mensa Association in Germany (MinD) .
