The Freistädter Frischling is the prize of a cabaret and cabaret competition that has been held or awarded annually in the Upper Austrian town of Freistadt since 1995 .

The price

The Freistadt Frischling has been organized by the local-stage Freistadt cultural association since 1995 and was founded with the aim of giving up-and-coming artists more attention and space. Every year four cabaret artists or cabaret groups have the opportunity to present an hour from their first or second stage program. The artists face the audience and the jury on two evenings. The winner of the jury award receives an appearance in the Linz Chamber of Labor , organized and sponsored by AK-Kultur Oberösterreich . The award ceremony will take place after the two appearances in the Freistadt cinema next to the Salzhof .
