Christian Springer (born December 31, 1964 in Munich - Haidhausen ) is a German cabaret artist and author .

Life

Springer made his first stage appearances in the 1970s in the Munich National Theater as a member of the children's choir of the Bavarian State Opera (Hansel and Gretel, Carmen). During his school days he founded the cabaret Fernrohr together with Andreas Rüttenauer and Helmut Schleich . Springer began studying Semitic Studies, Philology of the Christian Orient and Bavarian Literature History at the LMU Munich , but did not graduate.

Together with Andreas Rüttenauer and Helmut Schleich, they had over a thousand appearances in the entire German-speaking area up to 1997 and they are among the co-founders of the Munich cabaret up-and-coming festival Kabarett Kaktus . Christian Springer has appeared as a solo artist since 1998. Together with Helmut Schleich, Springer could be heard as Heinzi and Kurti on the radio program Bayern 1 from 2003 to 2011.

In addition, Springer was a writer for Ottis Schlachthof (1997–2012) and in the same function for the Bavarian Cabaret Prize (1999–2002) and the Bavarian Television Prize (2001). As an author and actor, he took part in the strong beer tapping at Munich's Nockherberg (1999–2001) and was responsible for the fasting sermon of the new brother Barnabas , Michael Lerchenberg , for the first time in 2008 . In March 2010, Springer and Lerchenberg, the latter also co-author, announced their resignation after violent criticism of a concentration camp comparison in connection with Guido Westerwelle's controversial statements on the welfare state and the treatment of Hartz IV recipients in their sermon on fasting. From 2006 to 2011 Springer hosted the evening at the Cabaret Artists' Ash Wednesday . Since 2012, he has hosted the follow-up program of Ottis Schlachthof schlachthof on BR television once a month with Michael Altinger .

Christian Springer's pen comes from the figure of Fonsi (southern German for Alfons). As the treasurer of Neuschwanstein Castle , a blue cashier's uniform and briefcase are Fonsi's trademarks. He interprets the world as a sullen but lovable grumbler . As Fonsi , in addition to appearing in numerous BR productions, he has also played the Wiesn critic on the same station since 1999 . In addition, he regularly looks back in Nix for Bad , the cabaret weekly review of Bavarian television . In 2008 Springer was also seen in a small role as Chief Detective Wellisch in the Tatort episode Der oide Depp . In 2007 he played a home nurse in the BR feature film The Great Hobeditzn .

For the cabaret program Sand in der Wasserpfeife Springer received the Golden Wiener Kleinkunstnagel in 1999 . In 2002 he was awarded the Sigi-Sommer-Taler art prize for his writing . Springer has been a member of the Münchner Turmschreiber since 2004 .

Christian Springer's interest and attention has been particularly focused on Syria for years , where he frequently travels, as is also clear on his website. In particular, it was Syria's dealings with the Nazi war criminal Alois Brunner that led Springer to research his whereabouts. In 2006 Michaela Haas reported on April 6 in Die Zeit about research activities regarding Brunner in Syria. Springer came into possession of a will from Brunner, who allegedly died in 2001.

In autumn 2011 Christian Springer's book Wo geht's hier nach Arabien? by Blessing Verlag. In September 2011, Springer received the AZ star of the week for the almost 40 short stories of prominent Germans who traveled to the Orient.

In 2012 he founded the Orienthelfer association. He and his team of volunteers have been traveling regularly to Lebanon and Jordan since December 2011 to help the refugees and the locals there. For this commitment he received the AZ star of the year 2012 on December 23, 2012 and the Waldemar von Knoeringen Prize on November 30, 2014 .

In 2015 he moderated the Bavarian Television Award ceremony together with Michael Altinger .
