Christoph Süß (born December 17, 1967 in Munich - Sendling ) is a German cabaret artist , television presenter and actor . He is known to the general public through the moderation of the show across the Bavarian radio .

Life

Suss gained his first experience on stage during his high school years in school theater , in amateur theater groups and as a singer in rock bands .

After graduating from high school in 1990, he began studying philosophy at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich , which he later abandoned in favor of his career as a cabaret artist. With his first solo program in 1995, Süß had numerous appearances on Munich and Bavarian cabaret stages.

In 1997, Süß played in a few commercials and so came to television. In 1998, Bayerischer Rundfunk engaged him to present the political and satirical magazine quer , which he has presented weekly since then. Bayerischer Rundfunk also broadcasts its late-night show SüßStoff from the Munich Volkstheater .

In addition to his television activities, Süß designed another solo program, Kristofs kleine Kosmos , with which he went on tour in 1999.

From 2006 to 2010, the radio station Bayern 2 broadcast a column with Christoph Süß once a week with the title Sweetener of the Week . He was a guest at the Cabaret Artists' Ash Wednesday several times .

In 2007, Süß was seen in Marcus H. Rosenmüller's feature film Best Area in a small supporting role as a hospital doctor. In 2012 he played the role of Karl Georg "Wiggerl" Ludwig in Helmut Dietl's comedy Zettl . In the same year he moderated the awarding of the Bavarian TV Prize , as before in 2009. In the ZDF crime series Munich Murder , he has played the vain chief detective Helmut Zangel since 2013.
