At the burner, however, they broke down because of a broken exhaust. Then Kati finds out that her grandfather is not doing well, and the two of them drive back home.

Kati's grandpa is hospitalized. On the basis of a promise, she wants to take him to a place where he used to meet his wife. So she persuades Nurse Mike and Paramedic Rocky to get him out of the hospital. After lingering briefly at his old meeting place, he dies.

After the funeral, Kati wants to rush off again with Jo, but Jo has meanwhile booked a plane ticket to South Africa because she no longer believed that Kati wanted to go with them. In addition, Jo started something with Lugge, with whom Kati also had something to do with; neither admit it, however. They clash at a soccer game and drive away with their cars arguing. Both are plagued by feelings of guilt and Jo turns back to look for Kati. However, this has an accident in the pouring rain.

Jo looks for Kati, finds the car that has crashed, but Kati doesn't. She calls Rocky for help and finally finds Kati only slightly injured. They reconcile and Jo flies to South Africa.

criticism

“The story of two friends in the Bavarian countryside who dream of a trip around the world after graduating from high school, but are stranded in South Tyrol and have to come to terms with little everyday dramas after their return home. Coming-of-age story in the form of a loving home film, conceived as the middle part of a film trilogy. "
