Ash Wednesday of the cabaret artists

The Ash Wednesday of the Cabaret Artists or Political Ash Wednesday of the Cabaret Artists has been a public event that has been taking place in various locations for many years. The best known are the performances that have been held in Munich since 2006 by Bavarian cabaret artists and artists from other federal states as well as by Berlin cabaret artists and artists from other federal states in Berlin. They lean on the political Ash Wednesday of the political parties, which takes place on the same day . For this reason, topical issues of the politicians are taken up and commented satirically . Christian Springer , Michael Heinemann and Robert Urban also worked as authors in Munich in addition to the cabaret artists who appeared as guests . The Political Ash Wednesday in Berlin is moderated by Arnulf Rating . The course of the evening is based on traditional number cabaret, but with current contributions and orchestral interludes. No official guests will be invited.

For the first time, Ash Wednesday of the Cabaret Artists 2006 took place in Munich in the Philharmonie am Gasteig and in Berlin in the Arena Berlin . From 2007 the Munich event was broadcast on Bavarian television . The Bavarian cabaret artist Christian Springer, alias Fonsi, hosted the evening . From 2007, the musical part of the event was designed by the Pasadena Roof Orchestra from London . The Munich Ash Wednesday of the cabaret artists is documented until 2011. The Berlin event has been broadcast since at least 2013 in the cabaret show Querköpfe des Deutschlandfunk , as an almost one-hour summary with annotations.
