Bernd Regenauer

Bernd Regenauer (born July 30, 1956 in Munich ) is a German cabaret artist and author .

Life

Regenauer spent his school days at the elementary school in Nuremberg at Frauentorgraben and at the Willstätter grammar school . His name was Berndt Rühle until his parents married in 1970. He did his military service as an orderly at Roth Air Base . Later he did an apprenticeship as an offset printer in Altenfurt .

Regenauer enjoyed a classical piano training. In the years 1981 / 1982 he had his first appearances as a singer-songwriter . From about 1986 his political song programs turned more and more towards cabaret. Among other things, he was a copywriter for Dieter Hildebrandt's windshield wipers and the Munich laughing and shooting society .

He also worked for various radio stations (e.g., Antenne Bayern ), television stations, magazines and newspapers. Regenauer became known through his programs and radio play series in Franconian Regiolekt . Der Spiegel described his butcher's shop Boggnsagg as "the jewel among Germany's comedy series". Regenauer received several awards for his work, including the 1997 special prize for the German Cabaret Prize .

According to Regenauer, his original first name was Berndt with t, since the mid-1970s, due to a transcription error by the Nuremberg passport office, only Bernd without t has been found in his ID card.
