Wolfgang Buck
Wolfgang Buck (* 1958 in Puschendorf ) is a German singer-songwriter and cabaret artist who performs in Franconian dialect .
Life
Buck grew up in Puschendorf. After studying theology , he worked as a Protestant pastor in Trabelsdorf near Bamberg for 14 years . At that time he was already writing songs in Franconian dialect, was on the cabaret with them and also released CDs. When the activity as a songwriter took up more and more time, Wolfgang Buck took a leave of absence as a pastor and has since concentrated full-time on the artistic career.
Especially since his two 1990s programs and CDs Schaunerhie and Gemmeraweng , which Wolfgang Buck recorded with his band and the winds of the former Berlin soul band Die Zöllner , as well as appearances in the opening act of Hubert von Goisern and Joan Baez , Buck achieved a high level of fame in eastern southern Germany .
The Bamberg painter and draftsman Richard Wientzek has condensed Wolfgang Bucks' very special Franconian worldview into a map by combining scenes from all the songs on the Sambesi CD into a " Franconian world map ".
In 2006 Buck was awarded the Franconian Cube, in 2008 the Wolfram von Eschenbach Prize .
Wolfgang Buck is married to Elisabeth Buck and has two children. You live in Erlau in the Bamberg district .
