Florian Schroeder (born September 12, 1979 in Lörrach ) is a German cabaret artist , author , columnist , radio and television presenter .

Life

Training and first appearances

Florian Schroeder grew up in Lörrach. At the age of 14 he had his first brief appearance in Harald Schmidt's television program Schmidtanders (1993), in which he parodied celebrities. After graduating from high school in Lörrach, he did his community service and worked for the university radio in Freiburg. There he began studying German and philosophy and in 2006 moved to Berlin , where he lives today. After leaving school, he toured for three years with the cabaret ensemble "Heinz!", A homage to Heinz Erhardt . He moderated at times on the SWR radio stations Dasding and SWR3 and gained stage experience with solo appearances.

2004 to 2013

Schroeder is known for his wide repertoire of celebrity imitations; he uses his voice, facial expressions and gestures to caricature. His performances are described as a mixture of political satire and comedy. He made his debut in November 2004 with his first own cabaret program Auf Ochsentour . Since 2004, Schroeder has performed a duet with Volkmar Staub at the turn of the year for a "cabaret annual review". In addition to numerous appearances on radio and television, he has been with You want it too since October 2007 ! on tour nationwide for the second time with a cabaret program.

2007 ran in SWR television the pilot of his late-night -Kabarettsendung Schroeder! , which was included in the program in 2008. In 2009, the SWR produced six episodes of the cabaret show in the Theaterhaus Stuttgart . From 2008 to 2010 Florian Schroeder presented the live cabaret talk Infidelity on the television station 3sat . In 2009 he wrote a regular column for the Frankfurter Neue Presse . In 2011 Schroeder published his first book Open for Everything - and not quite tight , as was the name of his third tour program. From January 2012 to 2014 he had his own radio comedy on 1 Live every Saturday . The show was called Schroeder's network and there he parodied well-known celebrities. Radio Eins , WDR2 , hr1 and SWR1 regularly broadcast Schroeder's radio columns. In December 2012, Schroeder presented the pilot episode of the news satire Das Ernste on the First German Television . He was supported as a moderator in the Tagesthemen studio by former Tagesschau spokesman Jo Brauner . In February 2013 he appeared at the 9th Political Ash Wednesday of Cabaret Artists in Berlin, the recording of which was broadcast on the Deutschlandfunk broadcast “ Querköpfe” on February 20 .

Since 2014

Since May 2014 he has been moderating Spätschicht - Die Comedy Bühne on SWR television. From September 2014 to June 2017 he toured with his program Decide on Yourselves! through Germany. In July 2017, Schroeder went on a cabaret tour through Germany with  Peer Steinbrück . In the same year his new program began a state of emergency . In 2018, after 15 years of joint appearances with Volkmar Staub, the encore , the cabaret review of the year, took place for the last time in this form. From now on, the two artists will work up separate annual reviews in cabaret. Florian Schroeder has moderated the large radioeins satireshow since 2015, and the hr1 Satire Lounge since 2016 . Both shows in late-night format are now running under the name Die Florian Schroeder Satire Show in ARD programs.

Schroeder 2018 guest at Maischberger

For several years now, Schroeder has been a regular guest on talk shows and is mostly asked about political and social issues. He was sometimes a guest at hart but fair , Markus Lanz , Kölner Treff , NDR Talk Show and Menschen bei Maischberger .

In 2016, the cartoonist duo Hauck & Bauer obtained an injunction against Schroeder after making a joke about gifted people on TV appearances in 2015 that contained a verbatim quote from one of their cartoons from 2014. The picture shows two parents to whom a teacher explains: “Your child is not gifted. They are just very, very stupid. ”Schroeder then had to have videos of his television appearances deleted from several platforms.

Since 2019 Schroeder has been doing his cabaret retrospect alone and is calling his show over now! . From autumn 2020 Schroeder is planning a tour with his new solo program Neustart .

Florian Schroeder's appearance on August 8, 2020 at an anti-corona demonstration in Stuttgart was much noticed . Schroeder was invited to this event because the organizers misunderstood a satirical omission about conspiracy theories by him in the NDR as an alleged disclosure of facts. At first he played with the audience's expectations and used the performance to appeal for compliance with protective measures against COVID-19 .
