The NDR Talk Show is after 3 after 9 the second oldest ongoing talk show on German television . It is produced by Norddeutscher Rundfunk and taken over by some of the third programs of the other ARD broadcasters (some with a time delay). The first broadcast takes place three times a month on Fridays from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. The 700th edition of the NDR Talk Show ran on June 21, 2013 and the 800th episode on July 28, 2017. The show will be recorded in the NDR studios in Hamburg-Lokstedt and, since August 2019, also in the studio on the Hanover exhibition center .

history

The first pilot broadcast of the talk show on February 9, 1979 was broadcast live from the Uncle Pö in Hamburg and moderated by Dagobert Lindlau , Wolf Schneider and Hermann Schreiber . In addition to the most prominent guest, Federal Minister Hans Apel , Hitler's favorite sculptor Arno Breker was also invited, against which Uncle Pö host protested because he did not want someone like that in his trendy bar. On October 5, 1979, the first official NDR Talk Show from Studio Hamburg ran . Of the 86 presenters, Wolf Schneider, Alida Gundlach , Hermann Schreiber, Hubertus Meyer-Burckhardt and Marie-Louise Steinbauer led the two-hour program the longest. Barbara Schöneberger and Hubertus Meyer-Burckhardt have been moderating the discussion since January 18, 2008 .

Since August 9, 2019, the talk show Tietjen und Bommes has also been called NDR Talk Show after Alexander Bommes left with Jörg Pilawa . There are three editions per month. As before, two programs from Hamburg with Schöneberger and Meyer-Burckhardt as well as one issue with Bettina Tietjen and Jörg Pilawa from Hanover will be produced. The fourth slot in the month is reserved for 3 to 9 from Bremen . In August 2019, Tietjen had to moderate the first program alone because Pilawa was not available for personal reasons. Pilawa premiered on September 6th with Bettina Tietjen.

Since September 24, 2019, the show with Schöneberger and Meyer-Burckhardt has been running under the term TALK on Tuesday also every four weeks in the first alternating with 3 to 9 , the Cologne meeting and here speaks Berlin .

Scandals

  • In 1985, rioters stormed the panel during the broadcast when N3 (today: NDR TV) broadcast from the Hamburg fish market. A short time later, the rioters were removed by security personnel.
  • In 1985 the actor Klaus Kinski asked the presenter Alida Gundlach again and again about her underwear.
  • In 1987 the Italian porn actress Ilona Staller revealed her bosom in front of the camera.
  • In 1992 there was an argument on the talk show between the politician Angela Merkel and the writer Karin Struck . Struck, enraged by the others' discussion of abortion , tore the microphone from his body, hurled it into the audience and threw a full glass of red wine afterwards. The glass hit a spectator. Then Struck left the studio.

Trivia

The broadcast will be produced live on tape . Due to the high demand, tickets are only issued on a waiting list combined with a waiting period of several years.
