Bettina Tietjen (* 5. January 1960 in Wuppertal as Bettina Schniewind ) is a German television presenter .

Live and act

Tietjen's father was an architect and her mother a housewife. She grew up with two sisters in Wuppertal. She completed her studies in German , Romance languages and art history in Münster and Paris .

After completing her studies, she worked as a reporter and author for the RIAS Berlin , the NDR and various newspaper publishers, among others . She moderated the RIAS breakfast television , the current hour on WDR television , the journal of Deutsche Welle and still moderates the program DAS! on NDR television .

From January 1997 to September 2007 she hosted the talk shows Stargeflüster and Herman and Tietjen together with Eva Herman . Since October 12, 2007, she has hosted a similar format together with Yared Dibaba , which was produced for three programs under the title Talk mit Tietjen and was then renamed Die Tietjen and Dibaba . In September 2009 Yared Dibaba was replaced by Eckart von Hirschhausen , the name of the program was Tietjen and Hirschhausen . On November 28, 2014, Hirschhausen left the talk show at her own request. From February 6, 2015 to July 12, 2019, Tietjen and Alexander Bommes hosted the show, whose new name was initially Bettina and Bommes and from June 9, 2017 Tietjen and Bommes . From August 9, 2019, the program was integrated into the format of the NDR Talk Show and also bears its name. Tietjen is still a permanent moderator, together with Jörg Pilawa as co-moderator.

From September 2008 to March 2020, Tietjen also presented the program Tietjen talkt on the radio station NDR 2 on Sundays .

Since 2011 she has also moderated the TV quiz Wer hats Seen? On NDR television . . In November 2017, NDR television dedicated a one-hour program to her in the series Das Beste am Norden .

In 2003 her CD Swing It! , on which she sings swing classics together with her talk partner at the time Eva Herman, Max Raabe and Hape Kerkeling .

In 2009, Bettina Tietjen volunteered as the official “boat mate” of the German Society for the Rescue of Shipwrecked People . Since March 2009 she has also been involved with the McDonald's Children's Aid Foundation , among other things . She is the patron of the Ronald McDonald House in Kiel and supports families of seriously ill children. In Hamburg-Harburg, Bettina Tietjen has taken on the patronage of the DRK - “Hospice for the South of Hamburg” - which is being created there .

Her book Laughed Through Tears. My father, dementia and I read Tietjen as an audio book ourselves . In the movie Horst Schlämmer - Isch is a candidate! she had a cameo .

Bettina Tietjen is married and lives with her husband and their two children in Hamburg-Eißendorf . She is a passionate camper .
