Steffen Hallaschka (born December 11, 1971 in Kassel ) is a German radio and television presenter .

Life

From 1982 to 1988 Steffen Hallaschka attended the Heinrich Schütz School in Kassel, where he passed the Abitur . In 1993 Steffen Hallaschka was entrusted with the moderation of the HR youth magazine Radio Unfrisiert . As a studio guest, he had already attended this program in December 1989. Between 2000 and 2008 he moderated the radio programs of the ORB (from 2003: RBB ), first with Fritz , later with Radio Eins .

Hallaschka began his television career in 1996 as the presenter of the youth program 100 Grad (until 1998), which was a co-production by DW-TV and ORB and was also shown at 3sat for a while.

For a short time he moderated in 1999 a. a. together with Wigald Boning the ProSieben MorningShow . For the channel ARTE he presented the program musicPlanet Spezial live from the Love Parade in 1999/2000 . In 2002 he was also seen as Tita von Hardenberg's pregnancy replacement in the ARD magazine Polylux and together with Holger Klein in the ORB talk show Dreilinden - Hart an der Grenz. In 2003 he hosted the WDR political show Kanzlerbungalow for two seasons . In 2004, Steffen Hallaschka was nominated for the Grimme Prize for this moderation .

From 2006 to 2010 he regularly presented the consumer magazine Markt on NDR . As a substitute he moderated the NDR Talk Show , also for the NDR the knowledge magazine plietsch as well as various game shows and special programs. In 2010 he also guided through the ARD guide: Technik im Erste. Since 2012, Hallaschka has been playing regularly in the Hamburg Allstars team as part of the annual benefit game Kicken mit Herz , which has been held in Hamburg since 2008, against a selection of doctors, the Placebo Kickers Hamburg .

Steffen Hallaschka has been managing partner of his production company televisionaere medienproduktion since 2002 . Since January 12, 2011, he has moderated the RTL magazine stern TV . There he replaced Günther Jauch after more than 20 years.

On September 21, 2013 he hosted the live show Wie tickt Deutschland? On RTL for the 2013 federal election . The big live experiment . On April 25, 2015, he hosted a 12-hour documentary about the end of the war in 1945 for Spiegel TV on VOX. Since 2016, Hallaschka has hosted the new edition of The Hot Chair .

As a reading ambassador for the Reading Foundation , he advertises reading in RTL TV spots, among other things.

Hallaschka lives in Hamburg-Altona, is married and has two children. He is the youngest brother of the former Merian editor-in-chief Andreas Hallaschka .
