Plietsch is a knowledge and consumer magazine on NDR television , in addition Plietsch is a brand for knowledge contributions of the NDR. It was originally started as a knowledge magazine that aired from 2005 to December 2008. From November to December 2008, Steffen Hallaschka moderated the show. The name plietsch comes from Low German and means "bright" or "clever".

From 2005 to 2007, Plietsch was broadcast every Thursday at 6.15 p.m. as a half-hour program. From November to December 2008 it was broadcast as a three-quarter hour program on Thursdays at 9 p.m.

Since 2010, Plietsch has been featured in the consumer magazine Markt , the programs Visite , Mein Afternoon and DAS! of NDR television in the form of short spots with the subtitle “Knowledge to be passed on”. Since 2013 Plietsch has also been available again as an independent program with a length of 30 to 45 minutes, which is broadcast a few times a year.
