Andreas Hallaschka

Andreas Hallaschka (born November 21, 1962 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German journalist and author .

Life

Hallaschka studied Protestant theology , attended the Henri Nannen School from 1985 and was an editor for various magazines of the Gruner + Jahr publishing house from 1987 . In 1992 he became deputy head of the international department of Stern , in 1995 head of the Berlin office and in 1996 head of the sports department. In 2000 he became editor-in-chief of Fit for Fun magazine . From 2002 to 2016 he was editor-in-chief of the Merian . Hallaschka wrote various travel guides and a biography of the actor Armin Mueller-Stahl .

Hallaschka is married and has four children. His younger brother is the moderator Steffen Hallaschka .

Positions

In 2013 Hallaschka launched the Facebook page “Solidarity with the Davidwache officers ” to support the Hamburg police. Hallaschka takes conservative positions on his Twitter account . In 2019, the Netzpolitik.org portal described his account as right-wing radical , but withdrew this after his complaint. Hallaschka criticizes on Twitter, among other things, the increasing use of gender-sensitive language by the social media channels of public media . B. incorrectly used gender asterisks corrected with parody intent. The decision of the ARD presenter Anne Will to use the glottic stroke for gender-fair plural forms (“taxpayers: inside”) in her talk show was criticized as a “mannerist gender hiccup”.
