Fit for Fun is a monthly fitness - magazine with a focus in the areas of exercise, nutrition and relaxation. It contains information on new fitness options, training tips, healthy nutrition and new findings in sports medicine, and also provides information on partnership and psychological issues, fashion and travel. Special issues appear at irregular intervals, for example on the subject of travel or nutrition. The sold circulation is 67,811 copies, a decrease of 79 percent since 1998.

history

Fit for Fun has been published since April 1994 and sold 400,000 individual copies in the first year. The original publisher was the Milchstrasse publishing group. In the third quarter of 2004, total sales were less than 250,000 copies for the first time. At the end of 2004, 80 percent of the Milchstraße publishing group was taken over by Hubert Burda Media . In August 2006 the remaining 20 percent of the shares were also taken over. In the fourth quarter of 2009, total sales fell below 200,000 copies and in the second quarter of 2011 it was still 167,985 copies.

In January 2019, Hubert Burda Media announced that the editorial team of Fit for Fun will be dissolved and that the editorial content will in future be produced by the mar10 media agency.

Fit for Fun TV

The TV series Fit for Fun TV ran on VOX from 1999 to 2006 . Initially the show was moderated by Annabelle Mandeng and from 2000 by Nandini Mitra . The broadcast was recorded from 2001 to the end of 2005 in the MMC Ateliers Studios (Studio 21) in the Cologne Broadcasting Center in Cologne-Ossendorf. The last episodes were produced until the program was canceled in February 2006 at RTL (virtual studio, studio 3) in Cologne-Junkersdorf .
