Tita von Hardenberg , actually Katharina Habsburg-Lothringen-Kyburg (born April 21, 1968 as Katharina Isabel Countess von Hardenberg in Hamburg ), is a German TV journalist , presenter and producer.

Life

The daughter of Isa Countess von Hardenberg and the banker Andreas Graf von Hardenberg comes from the Lower Saxon noble family of those von Hardenberg . She grew up in Lüneburg and Isernhagen near Hanover and graduated from high school in 1987 at the Rudolf Steiner School in Berlin . She then studied history and political science in Munich . She later earned a Master of Science degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) .

Tita von Hardenberg lives in Berlin and has been married to Ferdinand Habsburg-Lothringen-Kyburg since 1999 . They have three children together.

Act

She first came into contact with television in 1991 at the Berlin regional broadcaster FAB when she was doing an internship there. She then worked as an editor for the daily program Windows from Berlin . She then helped build the ORB magazine TIP TV from 1992 to 1994 , where she was editor-in-chief from 1995 to 1997.

In 1997 she founded the media company Kobalt Productions Film und Fernseh GmbH with Stefan Mathieu (production) and Michael Khano (camera) . From April 1997 she produced the magazine Polylux for the ORB, later for the RBB , in which the ORB was incorporated in 2003. In addition to moderating Polylux, which was broadcast by ARD from 2001 , she also made her own contributions.

In 2001, for about two years, she wrote the weekly column Schöne Leben for the weekly newspaper Die Zeit .

In 1997, von Hardenberg's company also developed the political magazine Absolut (1997–2009) for Arte and the music magazine Tracks , which she still produces today. She has also been responsible for the European magazine Yourope for ARTE since 2010 . In 2011 she and her company developed the cultural program zdf.kulturpalast with Nina Sonnenberg and Pegah Ferydoni for the now defunct broadcaster ZDFkultur , which she produced weekly. Since 2012, various editions of the cultural program Metropolis have been produced on Arte by Kobalt Productions.

In 2011/2012 von Hardenberg developed and produced the documentary series Kulturkrieger with Katrin Sandmann on ZDFkultur and 3sat . Also in 2012 she produced two new live music series, Introducing for RBB / ARTE and Berlin Live for ZDFkultur.

On October 20, 2012, von Hardenberg moderated the gala concert on the occasion of the 100th birthday of the Deutsche Oper Berlin , with which it provoked controversial reactions.

On July 2, 2016, von Hardenberg was honored as Berlin Entrepreneur 2016/2017 at the 8th Berlin Entrepreneurship Day.

In 2017, von Hardenberg founded the two company subsidiaries “Bleu Kobalt” in Paris and “Kobalt Austria” in Vienna.

Honorary positions

Since 2005, von Hardenberg has been the patron of the Berlin Environment Prize of the BUND and since 2010 the official sponsor of the Bethel children's hospice for dying children. In addition, she has been an ambassador for the Berlin Child Protection Association since 2006.

Von Hardenberg supported the Berlin Pro Reli referendum campaign, which wanted to make religious instruction, which was voluntary in Berlin, a compulsory elective instead of ethics. In the referendum, 51.4 percent voted against the change in the law; the approval quorum of 25% was also not achieved.

In June 2018, von Hardenberg was elected to the board of trustees of the children's aid organization “Plan international Deutschland ev”.
