Berlin environmental award
The Berlin Environment Prize of BUND Berlin was awarded from 2005 to 2014 to people, groups and companies who contribute in an exemplary manner to influencing the environment and the quality of life in Berlin sustainably and positively. The award of the environmental award has been suspended for an indefinite period since 2015.
The prize was awarded annually in the categories "Environmental Commitment", "Children and Youth" and "Economy and Innovation". Each category had its own criteria. Prize money was awarded in the first two categories.
Since the beginning, Tita von Hardenberg , TV producer and presenter of the ARD program Polylux, has been the patron of the Berlin Environment Prize.
