Nils von der Heyde

Nils von der Heyde (born January 8, 1938 ) is a German journalist.

Life

Von der Heyde is a son of the screenwriter and writer Sibylle Freybe (pseudonym: Johanna Sibelius) and the film dramaturge Horst von der Heyde . Von der Heyde attended boarding school in Berg .

He was a police reporter for the Münchner Abendzeitung from 1960 to 1962, editor at Quick 1962 to 1963, editor at SPIEGEL (1966 to 1968), reporter at Die Welt (1968), head of DII at Stern (1969), reporter at Welt am Sonntag (1970 to 1972), editor of the Deutsches Allgemeine Sonntagsblatt (1972 to 1977), chief reporter at BILD (1977 to 1980), chief reporter HÖR ZU (1980 to 1982), editor of the Deutsches Allgemeine Sonntagsblatt (1983–1984), and editor-in-chief of the Hamburger Morgenpost ( 1985/86).

Von der Heyde conducted interviews a. a. with David Kimche , Helmut Schmidt , Helmut Kohl , Franz Josef Strauss , Klaus von Dohnanyi , Hans-Dietrich Genscher , Stylianos Pattakos , Henry Kissinger , Cyrus Vance , Jitzchak Rabin , Ingrid Bergman , Ariel Scharon , Reza Pahlevi , Abū l-Hasan Banīsadr , Ruhollah Chomeini , Paulette Goddard , Golo Mann , David Owen , Peter Carington , Schapur Bachtiar .

Von der Heyde reported as a reporter for the evening newspaper in the Praun murder case and was heard as a witness in court in the 1962 trial against Vera Brühne .

In 2011 he made public that the then head of the Hamburg Office for the Protection of the Constitution, his friend Christian Lochte , had given him confidential information about the perpetrator two days after the murder of Siegfried Buback . "Sola fired," he said on the phone. "Sola" was Verena Becker's code name . In addition, Lochte later told him that the assassination attempt on Alfred Herrhausen , which has not yet been clarified, was not carried out by the RAF . Von der Heyde was heard as a witness in the trial against Becker on August 11, 2011.

From 1989 to 2002 von der Heyde ran the “Tribal Arts” gallery for African and oceanic art in Hamburg, under the advice of the ethnologist Werner Muensterberger .
