Holger Schmidt (radio journalist)

Holger Schmidt (* 1971 in Baden-Baden ) is a German radio journalist and publicist .

Life

After graduating from high school in Darmstadt , Schmidt studied law at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz and at the University of Potsdam .

Schmidt worked from 1998 for SWR3 and other radio programs of the Südwestrundfunk as an editor and reporter. He was a regular author of the SWR3 top topic . Since 2007 he has been working in the reporter and research department of the SWR and is the ARD expert on terrorism and internal security . As a writer, he has produced several radio features , each directed by Walter Filz . He also reported extensively on major terrorist trials in Germany ( Sauerland Group , Aleem Nasir , Global Islamic Media Front , Verena Becker , NSU trial ) - including on his terrorism blog .

Until 2007, Schmidt was also a member of the ARD legal department (television) at SWR and the author of films for the ARD counselor law .
